This a beautiful vintage Oaxacan Mexican dress. It has the traditional ornate embroidery on the bodice and the rest of the dress.

Unlike newer dresses, the entire dress is filled with handcrafted embroidery. It has two giant bouquets of flowers, plus smaller sprays of flowers on the side.

This dress is 100% cotton, it’s great to wear belted or not, and like many Mexican clothing it fits a variety of sizes.

Since this dress 25 to 30 years old, it does have some wear, in particular the slits on the side have been opened up another three inches, but now sewn.  There also a few faded spots along the hem. They can be sewn up or cut off near the embroidery and make into a mini-dresses that so many people are wearing.

It measures 18 inches across at the bust, it is 44 inches long, and 22 inches at the hips.
